2018 GRESB Participation

In 2018, all of our funds participated in the GRESB assessment. We are proud to report that all portfolios/funds received “Green Star” status.

We are continuing to systematically incorporate ESG considerations into our existing procedures and processes, and investing in training, systems and communications. Formally adopting a sustainability policy, improving utility reporting across the portfolio, setting long-term environmental targets for energy, water and waste, and increased certification rates for our properties are a few factors that contributed to our score.

GRESB: This institutional investor-sponsored assessment is the global standard for assessing the sustainability performance of real estate companies and funds. In 2018, the assessment had 903 property companies, real estate investment trusts (REITs), funds, and developers participants, an increase of 6% on the previous year. The Assessment now covers more than 79,000 assets across 64 countries. The GRESB Real Estate Assessment, which has become the de facto measure of a fund's green performance, covers $3.6 trillion of assets globally and scores its sustainability performance in terms of environmental stewardship, social responsibility and governance (ESG).
