One Bay East, Hong Kong
In 2015, we completed the purchase of our newest development, Manulife Tower at One Bay East, in Kowloon East which represents one of our largest real estate transactions to date. Manulife Tower is a brand new, Grade A office building located in the emerging business hub of Kowloon East. Together with Manulife Financial Centre, Manulife Tower has made our company one of the biggest employers in Kowloon east.
Manulife Tower’s sustainable features contribute to an energy saving of 5,818,004kWh every year, which is equivalent to the amount of electricity used in over 600 homes for one year!
In a short time, Manulife Tower has already been the recipient of several awards, particularly when it comes to sustainability! Awarded LEED Platinum for the interior fit-out of the office space, in addition to LEED Gold certification for the building itself. Hong Kong Beam Plus certified, One Bay East is also the winner of the RICS Award for Sustainability Achievement of the Year 2016.
